Nevada Man Tells Rogan of Telepathic Parley With Uniformed Visitor Near Quartz Mountain

An eyewitness account relayed on a popular podcast describes a blue-white, earless figure who sought help finding certain materials, according to a UFO news site.

An eyewitness has told podcaster Joe Rogan of an encounter with an alien person in uniform near Quartz Mountain, Nevada, according to a post published October 14 on the website UFO Sightings Daily. The site's author, Scott C. Waring, says Mr. Rogan was shocked by the account.

The witness, as summarized by Mr. Waring, described the figure as having blue-white skin, no ears and larger eyes than a human's. The post does not offer further detail on the setting or the date of the meeting.

Most striking, according to the account, was the manner of conversation. The being is said to have spoken in a foreign language, while the witness perceived a translation in his own head, along with images of what was being discussed. Those images reportedly showed tritium and a metal material that the visitor wanted help locating.

Mr. Waring calls the combination of spoken and telepathic communication an important experience for others to learn from. He adds, as he has said before, that telepathy works, that anyone can do it with practice, and that humans are hardwired for it. Receiving a message clearly, he writes, requires a more powerful person to send it.

A digest entry reports a more specific identification of the December 2023 drone incursions over a Virginia air base, alongside a week of argument over government UFO claims.

Strangeness 2 of 5

A new identification has been offered for the drones that appeared over Langley Air Force Base in Virginia in December 2023, according to a digest entry on The Anomalist, which was originally published by Above the Norm News. The entry says the incursions occurred over a period of two weeks, a span the headline of the linked item puts at 17 nights.

The digest credits reporter David Freeman, whose sources include two interviews with key Democratic and Republican senators conducted by Capitol Hill journalist Matt Laslo. The headline on the item states that a senator claims the drones were Chinese. The digest itself does not reproduce the senators' remarks, and the claim is reported here as a claim only.

Family Ghost Named Dorothy Looks Different to Every Witness, Society Records Show

A writer revisits an 1892 psychical research case to ask why people standing in one haunted house describe unlike apparitions.

Strangeness 2 of 5
Image: MJ Wayland

Researcher MJ Wayland has published an essay, "The Dorothy Problem," arguing that witnesses to the same haunting often come away with accounts that do not match. The Anomalist's digest cites Carl Jung's archetypes as one possible explanation: people tend to see what their own experience leads them to expect.

The essay's central case appeared in the Journal of the Society for Psychical Research in October 1892, under the heading "Apparition and Noises. Haunted House." The family requested anonymity, so the witnesses appear under false initials. According to the record, Mrs A. saw a short woman in a black dress and white apron, her head wrapped in lavender gauze, in about 1881. The family named the figure Dorothy. Her daughter, Mrs D., later saw a similar woman on the stairs and at first mistook her for a servant.

A Substack episode listing promises talk of alchemy, bot scammers and whether a fly-brain creation might be asked about God.

A new episode of the MFTIC Research podcast, published on the Substack "My Family Thinks I'm Crazy," convenes a three-sided conversation on subjects not ordinarily found under one roof, according to the post's brief description.

The guests are named as Juan Ayala, of The Juan on Juan Podcast, and Thomas, of Paranoid American. The host, whose name does not appear in the excerpt, says the group discusses Ayala's thoughts on the "Jean Phil Meme" and the notion that AI egregores may be behind it and other viral memes. The excerpt does not define either term, and it offers no evidence for the proposition. An egregore, in occult usage, is generally understood as a collective thought-form, though the post itself does not say so.

Bedford Widow Proclaimed Herself 'Daughter of God' and Kept Rooms Ready for Bishops

The Panacea Society, founded in 1919, held that Eden lay within three miles of its church and that a furnished terraced house awaited the Second Coming.

Strangeness 2 of 5

A writer for Paranormal Daily News, Stephen Arnell, has revisited the curious history of the Panacea Society, a women-led millenarian group founded in Bedford in 1919 by Mabel Barltrop, a vicar's widow. According to the account, the group followed the teachings of the Devonshire prophetess Joanna Southcott (1750-1814) and campaigned for her sealed box of prophecies to be opened only when the world faced certain destruction.

Mrs Barltrop proclaimed herself the 'Daughter of God' and was renamed Octavia. Her followers, described as mainly middle-class, middle-aged women, left their homes for Bedford. The community is said to have peaked at around 70 members. The Panaceans held that the Garden of Eden lay within three miles of their church, and that conquering personal sin would bring immortality.

Tiny Lord of the Plankton Sets Record for Smallest Genome Among Its Kind

Researchers report an archaeon with only 189 protein-coding genes, a creature never seen under a microscope and named for a thumb-sized Japanese deity.

Strangeness 2 of 5

An international team of researchers has identified a microscopic organism whose genome is the smallest yet reported for any member of the archaea, according to a report in The Debrief. The findings were published in the journal Current Biology by a group that includes researchers from the University of Nottingham and the University of Tsukuba.

The organism was found during genetic sequencing of individual marine plankton. It has been provisionally named Candidatus Sukunaarchaeum mirabile, after Sukunabikona, a deity of Japanese mythology whose name the article translates as "renowned little lord". The god is described as a dwarf about the size of a human thumb, and as a patron of healing, hot springs and magic.

Magnetic Field in Solar Wind Found to Reverse Its Spin at a Certain Scale

An international team reports that turbulent plasma sampled by the Parker Solar Probe changes its direction of magnetic rotation, and that the point of change drifts with distance from the Sun.

Strangeness 1 of 5

Researchers in ten countries have reported a previously unnoticed reversal in the way magnetic fields rotate within turbulent space plasma, according to a paper in The Astrophysical Journal Letters, as relayed by The Debrief.

The team studied magnetic-field and particle measurements gathered by NASA's Parker Solar Probe. Their analysis, the report says, showed that turbulent magnetic fluctuations reverse their sense of rotation at a particular wavelength. That wavelength is not fixed: the farther the plasma lies from the Sun, the longer the wavelength at which the reversal takes place.
