A week after losing a bitter election to lead an ancient college, the archaeologist who wanted the post most raises a toast to the winner and hands him a small black figurine from a dig in Syria. So runs the summary of "A Warden For All Saints," a BBC drama first aired on April 29, 1992, according to the listing.

The play is the second item in a #RetroRadio compilation published by Weird Darkness. The program is billed as running a little over five hours, with a show open at the start and a show close at 05:01:19. The source offers no further account of the plot, so what becomes of the figurine, or of the new warden, remains a matter for the listener.

The broadcast opens with CBS Radio Mystery Theater's "The Search for Myra," dated December 15, 1978. After the BBC piece come episodes of Hall of Fantasy, Harry Lime, Haunted Tales of the Supernatural, The Haunting Hour, The Hermit's Cave, Mystery Is My Hobby, Sherlock Holmes and Mystery House. Their dates range from the mid-1940s to 1980.

The publisher notes that several episodes, marked "WD," were remastered or cleaned up to make them more listenable. It cautions that the audio may not be pristine, though it should be better than the original files, some of which it describes as unusable or hard to hear.

The compilation is available on Spreaker, and the publisher directs readers to its website for further episodes, books and articles. No ghost has yet been reported to have attended the election.
