Board Weighs Plan to Torture Archons for Their 'Loosh'; Consensus Elusive, Clock Questioned

A thread on /x/ asks whether Gnostic overlords might be fed upon in turn, and draws fifty-two replies ranging from metaphysics to song lyrics.

Strangeness 3 of 5

An anonymous poster on 4chan's /x/ board has put a question to the assembled: what if humanity began torturing Archons in order to feed off their "loosh"? The opening post, as preserved, carries no text beyond the title, leaving the matter largely to the respondents.

Those respondents, fifty-two at last count, proved ready with views. One cautioned that such a course would make the torturer just like them, and thereby an Archon himself. Another observed that anyone who has laughed at another's suffering has, by that measure, already fed on loosh. A third inquired whether the option even exists in the game.

Practical objections followed. One poster argued the scheme would resemble a simulation torturing a profile picture, with the target crying out and returning ten seconds later. The same poster holds that these entities favor underhanded tactics, often remotely. A second warned against anthropomorphizing them, claiming they act human yet have little real emotion, and can switch tone in milliseconds.

The thread then took a darker and more quarrelsome turn. Several posters accused one another of being bots or Archons, and the exchange grew heated, with slurs and antisemitic remarks that this newspaper declines to reproduce. Such remarks are, regrettably, a common feature of the genre.

Lighter contributions also appeared. One poster proposed placing the Archons in the bodies of cute waifus at boarding school. Another suggested a song title. One asked only, 'Whats going on with the clock?' and received no answer.

The final sampled reply perhaps best captured the mood: a poster asking how one tells an Archon, and confessing fear that he might be one. No reply to that question is recorded. No evidence for Archons, loosh, or their harvesting was offered.
