Father Drives Into Seaside Town With Homemade Stake to Hunt Daughter's Vampire
A Weird Darkness audio drama follows Terry McKinnon, who has already emptied a gun into his quarry to no visible effect.
EASTGATE — A father's pursuit of the vampire who took his daughter is the subject of "House Calls," an episode of the Weird Darkness program Midnight In The Macabre, which the program lists as first aired on October 24, 2026.
According to the episode description, the father, Terry McKinnon, tracked a woman named Harriet Hartman to a motel room little more than a week earlier. He is said to have fired bullets into her chest. She, the description states, barely flinched, seized him by the throat, tossed him aside and told him to go home.
He did not. The description says McKinnon is now driving into Eastgate with a gun in his pocket and a wooden stake of his own making. The seaside town, full of boarded-up houses, is described as the only one in the area where Hartman has never killed anyone.
The program credits its source material to "Eastgate" by Ryan Peacock, with a link supplied on the episode page. The episode is available through Spreaker and on the Weird Darkness website. The description does not say how the hunt concludes, and this newspaper has not pursued the matter further.
