Two Schoolboys Report Saucer Landing in Field Near Tver, Produce Eleven Photographs

A 1991 encounter, recirculated on r/UFOs, describes a shape-shifting object that crossed the Volga and rested in a field for about three minutes.

Strangeness 3 of 5

A Reddit user posting to r/UFOs has revived the account of two schoolboys, identified as A. Pavlov and A. Vasiliev, who reportedly photographed an unidentified object landing near Tver, Russia, on November 4, 1991.

According to the post, which cites the Russian newspaper Nevedomoye, the object changed shape during flight. It first resembled two saucers placed together, the post says, then crossed the Volga River and passed above a distant five-story building before turning back toward the witnesses.

During its descent the object is said to have altered its form once more. It then landed in a field, remained stationary for roughly three minutes, and took off. The boys reportedly captured eleven photographs of the episode.

The post states that the incident was looked into by V. E. Buloychik and other investigators from Tver, and that the photographs were reportedly submitted to the VEGA UFO Observatory for examination. The post does not report the result of that examination.

Nine of the eleven photographs, the author notes, were published in Nevedomoye, No. 1, 1993. The post offers no mundane explanation, and the account remains, for now, a claim of two boys, a field and a considerable quantity of film.
