Legless Dark Figure Twice Darts Through Household, Mother and Child Report
A Reddit user says both they and their mother watched a limbless-below-the-waist shadow race from the living room to the kitchen, though neither is ready to call it a ghost.
THE INTERNET — A Reddit user posting to r/Paranormal says that a household was visited on the day of posting by a fast-moving, entirely black shape in the form of a person, which passed through the home with no legs to speak of.
According to the post, the author was about to go downstairs when the figure zoomed past the living room and into the kitchen. The writer describes a recognizable head, torso and arms, but "absolutely no lower half."
The author mentioned the sighting to their mother, who at first assumed the talk concerned a mouse the household had lately been dealing with. She went to look, the post says, and saw the same thing dash past a second time. The two were standing side by side, the author notes, and so shared roughly the same view.
The mother's immediate verdict, according to the post, was that the visitor was a ghost. The author, while describing themselves and their mother as horror fans, says they are not rushing to that conclusion. No recording was made, and the writer admits there is no footage.
The author closes by asking whether anyone has had a similar experience and what might account for it. At press time the post offered no further explanation, mundane or otherwise.
