Two men who said they were newspaper reporters spent forty-five minutes inside the home of radio journalist Danny Gordon, according to the show notes of a recent Weird Darkness podcast episode. One asked questions while the other walked through the rooms with a camera. The newspaper they named, the notes say, had no record of either man.

Mr. Gordon had been investigating the 1987 UFO sightings at Wytheville, Virginia. The episode's summary states that the work brought him warning calls and a break-in, and that some of his negatives later went missing.

Mr. Gordon's account is one of several offered in the episode's segment on the so-called Men in Black. The summary describes UFO researchers John and Mary Robertson, who reportedly watched a man in black stand outside their apartment building for days in 1968. It also recounts Harold Dahl's claim that a stranger in a black Buick recited his 1947 Maury Island sighting back to him the morning after it happened.

The segment further mentions a man calling himself Jack Smith, who is said to have filmed two identical men in fedoras at a New Orleans streetcar stop in 2014. Rendlesham Forest researcher Brenda Butler describes a road chase, tapped telephones and warnings to stop digging.

The same episode carries other stories, including Reddit users' accounts of vanished places, a black beast photographed on Dartmoor, and a Canadian basement said to harbor a climbing shadow. The program's notes state that no artificial voices are used in the narration. The notes offer no explanation for the visitors at Mr. Gordon's door, and the reader is left to supply his own.
