Retired Admiral Says Navy Videos Show Object Entering Sea 'No Splash'
A Reddit post relays claims by Tim Gallaudet, former NOAA Administrator, about footage said to come from the USS Omaha.
THE INTERNET — A post on the r/UFOs forum is circulating a claim attributed to Tim Gallaudet, a former Rear Admiral and former Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, concerning video recorded aboard the USS Omaha.
According to the post's title, Mr. Gallaudet says he knows of several such videos in which an unidentified aerial phenomenon, or UAP, is seen entering the ocean without any disturbance to the water. The title renders the detail as "No splash."
The title adds that Mr. Gallaudet describes one further recording, in which a UAP is said to emerge from the sea, again without a splash, and then accelerate rapidly into space.
The post is a link or image submission with no accompanying text, and the material available offers no footage, date or setting for Mr. Gallaudet's remarks. Nor does it supply any independent confirmation or official comment on the videos described. The claims therefore remain, for now, a secondhand account of what a retired officer says exists.
Readers wishing to form a view will need the original interview or statement, which the post links but which this newspaper has not been able to examine. The forum's members, as is their custom, are expected to debate the matter at length.
