Midterms Over, Disclosure Advocates Turn Anxious Eyes to President's Rumored Speech

A UFO-focused outlet reports that Democratic wins in both chambers leave the question of an official statement on non-human intelligence squarely with the outgoing Republican majority and the White House.

Efforts to persuade President Donald Trump to deliver a speech on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena before the midterm elections have failed, according to Liberation Times, which reports that Democrats have since won both the House and the Senate. Republicans keep their majorities until 3 January 2027.

The outlet's author, Christopher Sharp, writes that the key legislative vehicle is Representative Eric Burlison's UAP Disclosure Act amendment, adopted by the House on 22 July 2026 as part of the fiscal 2027 defense authorization bill. Its provisions must survive negotiations with the Senate. As described, it would send UAP records to the National Archives, create a nine-member review board with subpoena powers, and require release within 25 years unless the President certifies otherwise. It would also direct the government to acquire privately held recovered technologies and biological evidence of non-human intelligence by eminent domain, "should such material exist."

The article says several insiders in the President's circle remain convinced he will disclose, and cites Lara Trump, who said on a podcast that she had heard of a speech concerning "maybe some sort of extraterrestrial life." Others who spoke to the outlet, it adds, doubt the President has the commitment to deliver anything meaningful.

Meanwhile, the administration has continued publishing files under a Pentagon-led program called PURSUE. The article says the tranches include accounts of a silent triangular object and of glowing orbs. Unnamed sources told the outlet that White House investigators, led by Stephen Miller, have been examining allegations of concealed crash-retrieval programs. The White House and Pentagon did not respond to questions about alleged shootdowns or efforts to lure UAP.

Burlison, in recent interviews cited by the outlet, described a classified briefing on an effort to attract such objects, following an encounter at a western military installation in late autumn 2025. Democrats, the article suggests, may seek that briefing, though it notes that the House Oversight Committee's expected new chairman, Robert Garcia, has listed other investigative priorities. The article closes by observing that Mr. Trump still has time to stand at a podium and declare, as his friend Dr Phil has put it, "We are not alone."
