A glowing orb was seen rising over the mountains near Snohomish, Washington, on October 2, according to a report filed with the National UFO Reporting Center and republished this week by the website UFO Sightings Daily.

The eyewitness describes an "odd round orb" that came up over a hillside and kept moving, and calls the sight "extremely odd." The site's summary adds that the glow fluctuated in intensity as the object climbed higher and higher, and that it remained in view for about three minutes before rising out of the atmosphere.

The site's proprietor, Scott C. Waring, offers an interpretation the witness does not. He writes that the object was not the moon, a helicopter, a plane or a drone, citing the absence of sound, wings, blades and required aircraft lights. He concludes that the sighting is "100% alien tech," pointing to its glow, its aura and the speed of its departure.

The report supplies no photograph, no direction of travel, and no time of day, and it does not say whether other residents saw the same light. The witness's own account, as published, claims only that the object was bright, round and unusual. Whether it was anything more has not been established.
