'American Nostradamus' Sees Three Acts of Doom Arriving by 2028
Author John Hogue, who has studied the 16th-century seer for 40 years, says nuclear strikes, a Saudi assassination and American collapse lie ahead, though he insists the future is not fixed.
THE INTERNET — A modern prophet styled "America's Nostradamus" has issued a fresh warning that humanity may be hurtling toward catastrophe before the decade is out, according to a report in the Daily Star. The forecaster, John Hogue, is said to have spent 40 years deciphering the texts of the original Nostradamus.
Speaking to The Sun, Mr. Hogue reportedly described the coming calamity as arriving in three acts: a barrage of nuclear strikes, the ruin of the United States, and a war lasting 27 years. He told the paper that President Trump is "50-50" on a nuclear strike against Iran, and suggested that bunker-busting weapons might be used on underground sites such as Mount Pickaxe. In his telling, Iranian rockets and North Korean drones would retaliate in the Arabian Sea, sinking American carriers.
The second act turns on a figure in Nostradamus's verses called "Mabus," whom Mr. Hogue identifies as the "Third Antichrist." He believes the name is an anagram for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and fears the prince will be killed in a coup or a plane explosion. This, he says, would set off a 27-year war that could go nuclear and wreck the oil, helium and natural gas industries of Western Asia.
Mr. Hogue also worries that NATO and Russia could stumble into conflict, and believes that Western troops entering Ukraine might invite hypersonic missiles and tactical nuclear weapons. As for America, he foresees the end of a 500-year cycle of Western dominance. During a two-year period he calls the "Shofar Silence," running from September 2026 to September 2028, he expects fuel panics, inflation and debt to bring the country down, and he names September 11, 2028 as the date of collapse.
The article notes that the seer does not consider the future fixed. He describes his vision as an urgent plea for world leaders to step back from the brink.
