Golden 'Fungus' on Mercury Is Alien Metropolis Two Miles High, Says Taipei Blogger
Scott C. Waring of UFO Sightings Daily says sharpened orbital imagery reveals living, possibly airborne cities on the innermost planet.
TAIPEI, TAIWAN — Mercury, long considered a scorched and lifeless rock, is in fact home to sprawling alien cities, according to Scott C. Waring, author of the UFO Sightings Daily website. In a post dated October 24, 2026, he describes a yellow feature that he says resembles a golden fungus but is actually a structure more than two miles tall and five miles wide.
Mr. Waring writes that he found the object while going through a very large, 760-megabyte photograph of the planet, to which he applied extra focus and sharpening. The image appears to be drawn from a public global mosaic hosted by the U.S. Geological Survey's astrogeology program, a link to which he supplies. The author calls the result "100% proof" that aliens live on Mercury at present.
The author is aware that the buildings may not look as readers expect. "This is not Star Trek, this is reality," he writes. In his account, such beings often grow their structures, which he says is faster than conventional construction, and the buildings, which he also describes as UFOs, are frequently but not always alive.
One screenshot, he says, shows no ground at all, only structures in gold, green, blue and white stretching for miles. Further images, according to the post, depict black and gold buildings and what he calls entire cities of gold. Readers are invited to look carefully at the details.
The post offers no independent confirmation, and it does not address the possibility that the effects arise from image processing or from the mapping data itself. Mr. Waring, for his part, reports that a typhoon was battering Taipei as he wrote, though the damage was limited to a toppled plant pot outside his door.
