Strangeness 2 of 5

The Daily Grail, in its news briefs for 29 October 2026, greets readers in a spirit of seasonal mischief, addressing them as "ghouls and goblins" and promising a bill of spooky fare in advance of Halloween.

On the strange-and-spectral front, the digest lists courses at Pennsylvania University that go bump in the night, and a short film, titled Remain Calm, said to be packed with Fortean lore. It also revisits the Dulce base hoax, tracing it through John Lear, Tal LeVesque and Cherry Hinkle in New Mexico between 1979 and 2016, and recommends Adam Gorightly's book Saucers, Spooks and Kooks as a deep study of the Dulce mythos.

Elsewhere, the entertainer Bradley Walsh is reported to be discussing UFOs, Rendlesham Forest and the search for Atlantis ahead of his Sky HISTORY series Out of this World, airing from 3rd November. A headline also refers to a report that remains said to be from Noah's Ark have been found burned and buried 30 feet below their final resting place. The digest offers no further detail in its own words.

The science and society items range from a claim that humans accidentally prevented another ice age, to a plan to move 2,000 rhinos in an African conservation effort, to pieces on intuition, psychedelic therapy priced at $1,900, and a Swiss alternative-medicine practitioner whose patients' deaths are being questioned.

The technology column closes the edition with items on OpenAI's claims of AI progress in math, computing and physics, and on whether an AI bubble in China bursting may foreshadow one in the United States. Its Red Pill of the Day reports that professional reviewers found Elon Musk's Grok-made version of The Odyssey to be insufferable slop. The Quote of the Day belongs to Peter Thiel: "I’m good over evil. But evil is better than bad."
