Bather Reports Orange Sky Glimpsed Through 'Window' Behind Closed Eyelids

THE SHOWER, VIA R/EXPERIENCERS — A Reddit user posting to r/Experiencers has described an unexpected sight that, according to the post, arrived during an ordinary shower: a small opening in the darkness behind closed eyelids, through which an orange sky could be seen.

The author writes that the background was entirely black. In the upper-right corner of the visual field, an aperture appeared, showing white clouds drifting slowly across the orange expanse. The opening, the post says, kept altering its shape and size, which the author likens to peering through a window into another place.

The writer is emphatic on one point: they were fully awake. According to the post, opening the eyes restored an unremarkable view of the bathroom, and closing them again brought the same scene back. This is said to have happened several times.

The author has attached an image generated by artificial intelligence, which they say comes remarkably close to what they saw. The image was not reproduced here, and its fidelity to the experience cannot be assessed.

The post ends with a question rather than a conclusion. The author asks whether others have had a similar experience, and says they are open to both scientific and spiritual explanations. No replies were included in the material reviewed, and the post offers no diagnosis of its own.
