President Leaves Door Ajar on Alien Disclosure: "I'm Looking"
In a White House interview, Mr. Trump recounted talks with Air Force pilots but gave no timetable and no direct answer on visitors from elsewhere.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump has declined to rule out a public announcement on unidentified aerial phenomena, according to Liberation Times. Asked on 15 October by Newsmax host Rob Finnerty whether he would reveal the truth about alleged alien visits and the reverse-engineering of non-human technology, the President replied, "I'm looking."
Mr. Trump told the interviewer he had spoken with five or six Air Force pilots about encounters they could not explain, and that he regarded them as credible. He said he had not been much of a believer, though he has friends who talk of little else. According to the report, he described one pilot's account of a round object that traveled four times faster than an F-22. He said the pilot dismissed his own suggestion that it might have been a comet.
The President gave no timetable and did not directly say whether aliens had visited Earth. He also remarked that he was "not high on the list of that particular subject," the outlet reports.
The publication says it reported on 21 July, citing multiple sources, that a speech confirming some UFOs to be of non-human origin was understood to have been prepared. In August it reported that advocates, among them former Air Force intelligence officer David Grusch, were urging a speech before the 3 November midterm elections. Businessman Robert Bigelow, a Trump donor, is said to have advised the President on how to address the nation.
The remarks follow the PURSUE program, overseen by the Department of War with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which began releasing UAP records in May 2026. It arose after Mr. Obama said in February, "They're real, but I haven't seen them," and later clarified he had seen no evidence of contact. Mr. Trump said he would direct agencies to release the files.
